New Zealand is the ultimate destination. Tourism New Zealand’s role is to make sure that the world knows it. We do this by developing and implementing strategies to market New Zealand as a tourism destination internationally. Our purpose is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.

newzealand.com is the primary call to action for our global digital marketing campaign. The site receives more than 30 million visits per year and plays a critical role in building preference for New Zealand and connecting consumers with travel sellers.

We are enhancing our digital capability and require an experienced Business Analyst to join our digital team to lead requirements gathering across all components within Tourism New Zealand’s digital platform supporting newzealand.com. This programme includes replacing the website Content Management System (CMS), so digital experience is essential.

As a core member of the Digital Team you will be at the forefront of new digital technology changes and provide key inputs into the vendor selection process. This will include evaluating current state, eliciting requirements and creating RFP documentation for each stream of the Digital Platform programme of work.

A key strength will be your ability to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders in order to understand functional requirements and produce appropriate documentation. Your depth of experience in the digital field will allow you to adapt to each stage of delivery, including providing clarity and guidance to vendor development teams at the product delivery stage.

This role is rich with opportunity and would suit someone who has at least 5 years Business Analysis experience within digital technology and consumer facing online and mobile applications. You will need experience building RFP documentation and working with software vendors. You will understand a variety of software delivery methodologies, and how best to deploy your skills to optimise the development process. Experience with building wireframes, interaction design principles and user centered design are a definite advantage.

Enjoy a role where you can influence and be part of a significant digital transformation, selling New Zealand to the world.

If you enjoy an interesting fast-paced environment and want to work at the forefront of new technology, this could be the contract role for you!
