Our role is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.
This is an exciting PR role. Based in Sydney office and reporting to the PR Manager – Australia you will be required to implement our Public Relations strategy and to raise popularity and preference for New Zealand as a holiday destination.
With your passion for New Zealand, you will utilise your superb communication skills to engage to a wide variety of stakeholders while fostering positive relationships with a PR agency, local media, industry representatives and travel trade. You will champion content via the global newsroom for Australia and seek out and match media leveraging opportunities.
The successful candidate will need a minimum of two to three years’ experience in public relations, corporate communications, media or a related field. Involvement with social media in a professional environment would be an advantage. In addition you must have well developed project management skills, particularly in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects with conflicting deadlines.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent writing skills, including experience liaising directly with media and your interpersonal style will be one that builds trust and credibility with ease.
