We are seeking a high-performing Senior Communications Advisor with experience of working within a corporate communications team. As a senior communications advisor, you will be required to deliver strategic communications advice and activity, to support the organisation in maintaining its positive reputation across all stakeholders both internal and external.
The senior communications advisor will also need to take a ‘global’ view of developments, be expert in the art of long-distance influence and able to gather information and support activity across different geographies and time zones. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders including the senior leadership team at Tourism New Zealand, ministers, multiple government agencies, the tourism industry and New Zealand media.
To be successful in this role you must:
Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also playing a role in supporting team culture
Demonstrate strategic thinking and delivery
Exceptionally strong stakeholder management skills
Demonstrate the ability to operate quickly and effectively under pressure
Experienced at writing for a range of audiences and channels.
If you have a great track record of working in communications for a minimum of 7 years, have a relevant qualification in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism this could be the role for you. Experience of working within the public sector would be advantageous.
