Delivering the Promise
Tourism is a major contributor to New Zealand's economy,
employing nearly one in 10 New Zealanders and earning around NZD50
million a day. But the future growth and sustainability of tourism
in New Zealand depends on our ability as an industry to deliver
100% Pure New Zealand experiences.
Section Highlights
This means making sure our visitors get what they are looking
for when they come here on holiday: quality products and services,
a warm welcome, authentic experiences, useful travel information
and a relatively pristine natural environment.
Delivering on the promise requires regional tourism organisations,
operators, Government and other industry groups to work closely
together. Tourism New Zealand works with all of these partners to
help achieve the goals set out in the New Zealand Tourism Strategy
2015 and has programmes in place to assist in the development of
the industry.
