Developing the Tourism Industry

New Zealand's reputation as a visitor destination relies on our ability to consistently provide world-class visitor experiences with a distinctly New Zealand flavour. By making sure we send our visitors home satisfied, we can protect and build New Zealand's reputation as the ultimate holiday destination for our target market.

Tourism New Zealand is involved in a number of initiatives that help ensure New Zealand delivers on the promises we make through the 100% Pure New Zealand campaign. These include our subsidiary commitments to Qualmark and the i-SITE Visitor Information Network, as well as broader initiatives that promote New Zealand's unique Māori identity and the capability of the wider tourism industry.

Our operations team is also working closely with the industry to help improve the experiences Chinese travellers have in this country and to build capability in delivering quality experiences to the growing cruise sector.
