ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse) is the leading global event for the travel industry, it provides a unique opportunity for global travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business. In 2016, ITB hosted 10,000 exhibitors and 196,000 visitors of which 120,000 were trade.
For the first time in a number of years Tourism New Zealand is investing in an exclusive stand at at ITB Berlin (independent from Tourism Australia). A dedicated New Zealand presence will enable us to have greater visual impact of the “100% Pure New Zealand” brand and provide greater focus on the New Zealand stand partners.
To maximize the growth potential of attending ITB, Tourism New Zealand will host a frontline training evening on Tuesday 14 March in London for product attending ITB. This is free of charge for selected ITB participants. This follows on from PATA exchange a pre scheduled appointment trade event on Monday 13 March.
We are calling for New Zealand tourism industry participation.
For ITB 2017 Tourism New Zealand will be focusing on the trade days. On the consumer weekend we will be reverting from an active to passive model. Please see the participation options for details.
