Visitor arrivals from Germany follow a very seasonal trend with the peak season occurring from November through to March. The current forecast is for arrivals to increase on average 2.0 per cent a year between 2009 and 2015.

Market Growth and Seasonality

Visitor arrivals from Germany follow a very seasonal trend which has not changed significantly between 2007 and 2009.

November through to March is the time of year when New Zealand has the highest numbers of German visitors, with arrivals in each of these months well over 6,000.

In the year end December 2009, there were a total of 64,564 visitors from this market, up 3.6 per cent from 2008.

The current forecast is for arrivals to increase on average 2.0 per cent a year between 2009 and 2015.
