Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand have launched their
latest joint venture campaign in the United States with a fantastic
airfare offer luring Active Considerers to visit New Zealand.
Launched on 9 January to leverage the heightened interest in
booking a holiday following the Christmas break, along with
compelling pricing from Air New Zealand, the online campaign sends
interest directly to Air New Zealand's 'Fantastic New Zealand' campaign page which
features captivating New Zealand imagery and a link to
newzealand.com for more information about New Zealand.
General Manager Western Long Haul Markets Gregg Anderson says the
USD $848* airfare for travel between Los Angeles to Auckland, or
USD$948 to all other destinations in New Zealand, has been launched
to capture US Active Considerers' attention as they're returning to
work following their Christmas holiday.
"Partnerships with airlines are an essential part of our business
strategy and joint venture campaigns such as these ensure that Air
New Zealand utilises capacity and that we're welcoming visitors to
the country during our low season".
The campaign includes both online paid media and trade engagement
activity throughout January, and promotes travel to New Zealand in
the low season period from 01 May until 8 June and 24 July until 19
September. In addition, fares are also available for travel over
late summer and autumn with 19 February until 15 April and 19 June
until 9 July for an additional US$200.
The activity is also a timely reminder of New Zealand as a holiday
destination, as a number of stories following the Society of
American Travel Writers Conference, held in Wellington during
November, are beginning to be published throughout the US and
Canada. Promoting the experiences and activities available
throughout the length and breadth of the country, the stories are
being written by around 450 North American travel writers, PR
professionals and associates, and their partners who were in New
Zealand for the conference.
"Air New Zealand is proud of our beautiful home country," said
Roger Poulton, Air New Zealand vice president - the Americas.
"We're thrilled to offer U.S. residents the opportunity to
experience an inspiring journey to New Zealand with our special low
fare."
