A record 30 New Zealand operators attended Kiwi Link India 2011
held in New Delhi and Mumbai in early August.
Over four days of workshops, New Zealand operators met 140
Indian travel sellers in one-on-one 14 minute appointments.
The event provides the New Zealand industry with the opportunity
to educate a targeted audience of Indian travel sellers about
selling New Zealand throughout India.
Tourism New Zealand's General Manager Asia Markets Mark Frood said
that this year's Kiwi Link India was incredibly successful.
"90 percent of the New Zealand operators who attended say they
were extremely satisfied with the event."
Of those New Zealand operators who attended, 93 percent have
indicated they are very likely to exhibit at Kiwi Link India again,
with 93 percent also expecting business from the Indian
buyers.
Tourism New Zealand has recently released the Asia Visitor Study,
research identifying opportunities to capitalise on the increasing
number of Indian visiting New Zealand.
Commissioned by Tourism New Zealand, the research suggests New
Zealand tourism operators can benefit from the opportunity Indian
tourists present by better targeting this.
