Delegates from 39 New Zealand tourism companies showcased their
wares to travel sellers in Singapore in October as part of
Tourism New Zealand's Kiwi Link Asia 2010.
The travel trade event, held from October 13 - 15 at Singapore's
Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, brought together New Zealand
tourism industry delegates and key representatives within the Asian
travel market. It also provided them with an opportunity to meet
Tourism New Zealand staff working in the region.
Mark Frood, Tourism New Zealand General Manager Asia Markets,
says the high turnout of Asian travel sellers at this year's
event was positive for the industry.
"We had a great turnout this year, with 90 buyers from China,
Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore
making the trip," Mark Frood says.
"Many travel companies from around Asia enjoy the event because
it gives them a chance to find out first hand about what's new in
New Zealand. For New Zealand businesses, it's both a networking
opportunity and a chance to do business with many of the key travel
sellers in the Asian markets."
