Tourism New Zealand has teamed up with Diaries Downunder to show
the youth market just how much there is to do in New Zealand during
a working holiday.
Produced as a series of four short videos, 'Diary Days' depict a
day in the life of young working holiday visitors in
Queenstown.
"The video diaries are designed to inspire others to come to New
Zealand - showing them the range of people, jobs and lifestyles and
highlighting just how easy and fun it is to come and work here,"
says Justin Watson, Tourism New Zealand General Manager Marketing
Communications.
The first video was released today showing the
typical day for a snow obsessed young guy on a working holiday from
Japan.
"The partnership with Diaries Downunder is a natural fit with our
work to engage with the global youth market via social media which
has proven to really resonate with this market."
The Diaries Downunder winter web series follows New Zealand's top
snowboarders as they go in search of the crazy adventures available
in New Zealand's stunning Southern Alps.
The series has proven extremely successful in promoting New
Zealand as a premier winter destination and has gained a large
youth following. Diaries Downunder are now producing a summer
mountain biking series, also based out of Queenstown.
Rob Forsyth, Executive Producer at Diaries Downunder said, "The
team is excited to be working with Tourism New Zealand to further
develop new products like 'Diary Days' to promote New Zealand to
the youth market. We are all passionate about New Zealand and
getting people to come here to experience our great country".
All videos will be released via Diaries Downunder's channels as
well as Tourism New Zealand's own social channels including Facebook and our Pure New Zealand YouTube channel. The videos
will also be available for trade to use to promote offshore.
