The May-June issue features ten pages of coverage on New Zealand’s premium South Island experiences.
“The coverage showcases that New Zealand offers a fresh perspective on luxury, with an amazing contrast of places and experiences all within close reach so you can discover and do more,” says Lisa Gardiner, Manager Premium.
The publication is distributed to 200,000 households throughout the US, Canada and Brazil with a media net-worth of US$1.75 million, with the digital version also used as a sales tool by the luxury travel network’s advisors around the world.
Supported through TNZ’s international media programme the journalist was hosted on a 13 day trip, arriving in Christchurch and visiting some of New Zealand’s premium luxury accommodation before departing from Queenstown.
Commenting on the journalist’s mention of how easy the trip with Air New Zealand was, Lisa says; “Ease of travel is really important for high net-worth individuals. The new direct services and extensive cross-American networks of United and American airlines, alongside Air New Zealand’s existing services makes New Zealand that much more accessible.”
The coverage features five of New Zealand’s luxury properties: Annandale, Otahuna, Blanket Bay Lodge, Eichardts and Matakauri Lodge.
Each year New Zealand features as one of the top ten dream destinations in Virtuoso’s Travel Dreams survey, and ranks as fourth overall in destination sales among Virtuoso travel agencies.
Tourism New Zealand has worked in partnership with Virtuoso for eight years. In August 2015, the organisation was acknowledged by Virtuoso’s travel advisors when it was awarded the ‘Tourism Board of the Year 2015’ and ‘Virtuoso Most Engaged Tourism Board’.
