Experience a New You revolves around a series of video travelogues filmed during Chet's recent visit to New Zealand. The 35 year-old started his own label LYFE Music in 2003 and now has nine albums, a list of sold-out live shows under his belt and a significant following with more than 160,000 fans on his social media site.
The activity invites potential customers to take part virtually in a number of themed journeys across New Zealand.
The campaign aims to attract more tourists from Hong Kong in particular, independent travelers looking for somewhere new and different to explore. The travelogues are focused on special interests including adventure and outdoor activities, luxury self-drive, culture and food and wine.
Tourism New Zealand acting General Manager Asia, Kate Necklen, says the campaign supports its wider activity in the region.
"All of our activity works to engage with those actively considering a holiday to New Zealand by showcasing the variety of experiences that can be had once they are here.
"Using a recognised opinion leader experiencing a variety of activities in the context of New Zealand's stunning landscapes will ensure this campaign builds preference for the destination, inspiring our target market to book their holiday," she said.
Experience a New You incorporates promotional activity through social media, print and radio, trade events and a special promotional fare.
Air New Zealand operates eight flights a week between Hong Kong and Auckland and to Mainland China operates direct services between Auckland-Shanghai (four services a week) and Auckland-Beijing (two services a week).
