HIS selected 10 of their top retail sellers to visit New Zealand on a Tourism New Zealand famil.
This trip was timed with the release of HIS's brand new Joshi-tabi, which translates as 'paradise for girls', New Zealand brochure and website targeting the younger Japanese female traveller. The group visited popular attractions in the Auckland, Queenstown, Fiordland, Waikato and Rotorua regions as featured in the new brochure.
This is the first visit by HIS Japan to New Zealand and was secured with support from Air New Zealand over significant competition from other destinations.
On their return to Japan, Tourism New Zealand and HIS arranged a special training workshop for over 50 HIS agents where each of the top sellers profiled highlights and personal insights from their New Zealand famil trip.
HIS Japan are now also actively promoting a range of Middle-earth themed tours and deals, an ideal fit for the younger segment focus.
