The popular show visited New Zealand last month and filmed over ten days in the upper North Island to create a two-episode special.
“The show rarely films outside of Indonesia so to have not one, but two episodes featuring New Zealand is a really big deal. It promotes New Zealand to a huge audience that we may not have been able to reach otherwise, says Tourism New Zealand’s Regional Manager South and South-East Asia, Steven Dixon.
“Indonesia is one of our emerging markets. Having this kind of exposure is bound to encourage more Indonesians to consider New Zealand as a possible travel destination.”
“The Regional Tourism Organisations and operators we worked with in New Zealand to accommodate the filming really helped to make it a success.”
“The warm welcome from those in the tourism industry who helped showcase New Zealand was appreciated by the TV crew who gave really positive feedback about their time in the country.”
Episode one, Amazing Outdoor Adventure, featured bungy jumping and a Huka Falls Jet Boating experience in Taupō, black water rafting at Waitomo Caves, zip lining and luging in Rotorua, and a scenic sea plane flight in Auckland.
The second episode, Everyday a Different Journey, is due to air in mid-January and features the Skyline Rotorua Mountain Bike Park, Te Puia, Hobbiton, sailing on Lake Taupō, kayaking at Rangitoto Island, and a visit to Piha Beach.
My Trip, My adventure is a travel show packed with adventure and new insights. The young hosts tick items off their bucket lists and try out adrenaline-inducing adventure activities. They also showcase local festivals, food and cultures.
