Korean delegates enjoy a successful TRENZ 2012 in Queenstown

Tourism New Zealand escorted a large group of Korean representatives at TRENZ 2012 in Queenstown 7-10 May.

The group of eleven representatives included group and FIT travel agents as well as a media representative from Korea. Successful meetings and networking opportunities were coordinated with New Zealand sellers to further strengthened relationships.

During the week, Korean buyers were invited on a special breakfast cruise by Southern Discovery & Southern Travelnet and also enjoyed a dinner hosted by several popular Rotorua attractions including Te Puia, Skyline and Polynesian Spa.

Four of the Korean travel agents attending TRENZ also attended a Tourism New Zealand familiarization tour to experience different regions and unique activities. Participants enjoyed river punting and garden tours in Christchurch and then travelled down the West Coast of the South Island where one of the highlights was a glacier walking tour on Franz Josef glacier.

TRENZ, New Zealand's biggest annual international tourism showcase, will return to Auckland in 2013.
