Month long campaign with Flight Centre kicks off

A month-long joint marketing campaign between Tourism New Zealand and the Flight Centre UK has kicked off with a destination New Zealand flash sale and a Facebook promotion.

New Zealand is also taking pride of place across Flight Centre's network of 87 stores in the UK and will be the focus destination across the range of in-store marketing channels throughout the month.

The Facebook promotion offers residents of the UK and Ireland the chance to win a trip to New Zealand by clicking "like" and submitting their best scenic photo on Flight Centre UK's Facebook page.  The prize includes a return trip from the UK to NZ with a 14 day stay in NZ, plus a five day Tourmaster tour around the South Island.

The flash sale is designed to spotlight New Zealand as an affordable destination via a range of attractive airfares and packages, including key special interest activities and luxury travel.

Tourism New Zealand's General Manager Western Markets, Gregg Anderson, says this campaign comes at an important time. "To have such high visibility across Flight Centre's large retail network puts New Zealand in the front of travellers minds in the lead-up to the key booking period for the next summer season."

The New Zealand destination promotion with Flight Centre Group will continue for a further five months through their youth travel arm, Gap Year Travel, via an online campaign on gapyear.com.
