The campaign to tempt travellers from Singapore to enjoy a holiday in New Zealand comes on the back of the alliance announcement which will increase existing seat capacity on the route by up to 30 per cent over the next year. With flight connections from multiple countries in Asia and beyond, including Tourism New Zealand's emerging markets of India and Indonesia, Singapore is a key hub for visitors to New Zealand.
Nick Mudge, Tourism New Zealand's Acting Regional Manager South & SE Asia says "this new campaign allows visitors from Singapore and the wider region to really take advantage of the new alliance with a great airfare offer from Air New Zealand."
"The South East Asia region is important to the New Zealand tourism industry, providing approximately 150,000 visitors per year. It is expected that this new alliance between Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand and associated campaign activity will help drive sales on the increased capacity route and boost visitor numbers from South East Asia to New Zealand in the year ahead," says Nick.
The joint campaign, which will run in Singapore from 14 October - 2 November 2014, targets singles, couples and families and promotes early-bird fares between 13 April and 31 May 2015 from Singapore to a range of destinations across New Zealand.
It reflects the latest evolution in Tourism New Zealand's 100% Pure New Zealand campaign, 'Every day a different journey' and will be supported across print and online channels, including TripAdvisor, Yahoo, Facebook, Google and Singaporean newspapers Today and The Straits Times.
