Working with the trade

Tourism New Zealand arranges and participates in a number of trade shows and events each year.

These include:

If you are ready to take your business offshore we encourage you to register for these events. There is a fee for participating and operators are required to cover the costs of their travel expenses and accommodation. Tourism New Zealand will provide full support before and during the visit, making all event arrangements and ensuring you have the opportunity to build relationships with key travel trade representatives in market.

Please note, to be eligible to participate in Tourism New Zealand events, you must be Qualmark accredited (or an equivalent quality assurance rating) and have participated in at least one TRENZ.

You can find all the latest events in the events calendar, along with full selection and participation criteria for Tourism New Zealand events.

TRENZ 2015

Around 300 international travel sellers travel to New Zealand for the event and meet with New Zealand tourism operators for one-on-one appointments over three days. TRENZ is an excellent way to get to know the offshore travel trade, educate them about your product and build business relationships, as well as to network with hundreds of other operators and people from the New Zealand tourism industry.

You should participate in at least one TRENZ before considering travelling offshore with Tourism New Zealand. Identify the markets you are thinking of operating in and focus on obtaining appointments with buyers and agents from these markets.
