General InformationThe following are some ideas you may want to keep in mind when planning your trip. LANGUAGES The national language is Putonghua (the common speech) or mandarin, which is one of the five working languages at the United nations. Cantonese is one of the local dialects of Southern China (Guangzhou & Hong Kong). As a written language, Chinese has been used for 6,000 years. If you are able to do your presentation in Putonghua, it will be much appreciated but if not, please speak slowly in order for them to understand your presentation. CREATE AN INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION Frontlline and sales staff will see up to 10 to 12 NZ suppliers, 15 - 20 minutes presentation throughout the course of the training. The more creative and interactive your presentation the more captivated your audience will be. If you need any Mandarin translator, it will be at your own expense and TNZ can assist on the hiring of the translator. ATTIRE "Business casual" attire is recommended for frontline training however branded regional shirts are good ideas. KEY EXECUTIVE GIFTS Small gifts/merchandising for each key executive e.g pens, branded merchandising. CAN I SHARE ACCOMMODATION TO REDUCE COSTS? Yes, please indicate twin share and the person you will be sharing with in the registration forms. POSTERS/ DISPLAYS You are invited to bring your instand display units and posters with you to decorate the venues. Remember, as you are moving around during the course of the day, you will not be able to move these displays around with you.
