Paul Bingham is Managing Director of Black Cat Group. He is Chairman of Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism and is a past member of the Tourism Research Council New Zealand, and the Banks Peninsula Tourism and Economic Development Board. John Barrett is managing director of Kapiti Island Alive & Kapiti Nature Lodge, a family eco-tourism operation based on Kapiti Island.
John Barrett is also currently Chairman of both the New Zealand Maori Tourism Council and the Wellington Regional Maori Tourism organisation, Te Ara a Maui. Co-founder of AJ Hackett Bungy, Henry van Asch, accomplished a decade of success in New Zealand adventure tourism with business partner AJ Hackett before founding Bungy New Zealand in 1997.
Now a current Director of Bungy New Zealand Ltd, Henry oversees ownership and operation of the Bungy New Zealand Group (which includes AJ Hackett Bungy, and Auckland Bungy & Bridge Climb) along with his latest ventures: the High Plains Wine Co and The Winehouse & Kitchen Restaurant. Malcolm Johns is Chief Executive of Intercity Group (NZ) Limited, parent company of Intercity Coachlines, Newmans Coach Lines, Great Sights New Zealand, Fullers Bay of Islands, Kings Dolphin Cruises and Eco Tours. He is a current Director and Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Tourism Industry Association and a member of the Northland Tourism Development Group.
Malcolm Johns has extensive commercial experience in international tourism having held senior management and governance roles both in New Zealand and internationally including Discover Canada Holidays, Jasons Travel Media, Tourism Holdings, Mount Cook Group and Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts. Kay McKelvie was appointed Chair of Waitemata District Health Board in 2001 and was re-appointed in 2004. She is also Chair of Quotable Value and a Director of the Word Pictures Ltd - a private media production company.
She has previously been Chair of District Health Boards NZ, Chair of Finance and Property - Auckland City Council, a Director of the NZ Lotteries Commission and Professional Standards Director of the Auckland District Law Society. Gill Lockhart - Board SecretaryGill joined Tourism New Zealand in May 2003 to take up the roles of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and Board Secretary. Gill has had a varied career, ranging from legal work in England specialising in Family Law to roles in New Zealand at the Maritime Safety Authority and the Department of Internal Affairs.
