Training Format

New Zealand suppliers will be grouped together under International Marketing Alliances (IMAs) or national product categories for breakout training sessions.

The group categories are:

  • Auckland & Northland
  • GNZTR (incorporating Thermal Explorer Highway and Pacific Coast Highway)
  • Western North Island
  • Wellington & Wairarapa
  • Nelson & Marlborough
  • Canterbury & West Coast
  • Southern Lakes
  • Dunedin Southland
  • National Accommodation Suppliers
  • National Activity/Transport/Tour Operators

Frontliner Training Sessions:

  • Will be 1 hour in duration
  • Groups will consist of up to 5 suppliers
  • Groups will be assigned independent breakout rooms
  • Rooms will be provided with audio visual presentation equipment if required (please note there will be an additional cost for AV)

Presentation Times:

  • Each IMA/supplier group will be responsible for determining the breakdown of their 1 hour presentation slot

Groups are encouraged to work together to produce creative presentations which focus on unique selling points and use a holistic approach to destination New Zealand. Prior to the market visit, IMA representatives and nominated national suppliers will be invited to a presentation workshop, coordinated by Tourism New Zealand, to facilitate the creation and presentation of these interactive presentations.

Product Manager Meetings:

  • Will be 30-40 minutes in duration
  • Opportunity to update Product Managers on region/product
  • The same group categories will apply as with frontliner training

Presentation Times:

  • Each IMA/supplier group will be responsible for determining how they run their meetings

UK Frontline Seller Delegates

UK frontliner seller delegates will be grouped together according to company and move from room to room for each breakout session. Where numbers are small, multiple companies may be joined together. Group sizes are estimated at around 12 delegates.

Product Manager Delegates

To allow the inclusion of as many UK Product Managers as possible, delegates will be paired/grouped together with like-minded companies if necessary. It is estimated that a maximum of 4 Product Managers each from Germany, the Netherlands and UAE would attend, and these delegates would have individual sessions.

In order to ensure a successful and productive event, Tourism New Zealand reserves the right to change this format if deemed necessary.
