What is Qualmark®?

Qualmark®is the official quality agency for the New Zealand tourism industry.

It is supported by the New Zealand Government and owned by major shareholders Tourism New Zealand and New Zealand Automobile Association, and backed by leading industry organisations.

Qualmark®'s key objectives are to enable travellers to select accommodation, activity and attraction options with confidence, knowing that the business they choose has been quality assessed and to work with operators and the New Zealand tourism industry to provide a quality experience for visitors.

Qualmark® Green

As part of ensuring that New Zealand is delivering on its 100% Pure New Zealand promise, from 1 August 2008, all Qualmark® licence holders will need to meet minimum environmental standards as part of their quality accreditation assessments.

All tourism operators and businesses will also be able to apply for higher Enviro-Gold, Enviro-Silver and Enviro-Bronze ratings depending on their environmental performance.
