Graduate Scheme

Tourism New Zealand does not offer an internship or work placement programme.

We do run a Graduate Scheme for New Zealand residents looking to start a career in the tourism industry.

Each year we take on two Tourism Graduates in a 12 month graduate programme. Over the year the graduates get the opportunity to work in four of Tourism New Zealand's teams; Corporate Communications, Marketing, Operations, and Tourism Development, in both the Auckland and Wellington Offices.

To apply for the scheme you need to be a New Zealand resident, with an interest or qualification in tourism. Applications usually open in October, and details are made available in the employment area of this site.
