Tourism New Zealand Activity
Campaign
New Zealand was the star of big screens across the Netherlands as Dutch film, Bride Flight, hit the box office in October. Set in New Zealand in the 1950s, this is the most expensive Dutch film ever made. The film profiles New Zealand well, especially the stunning scenery of Central Otago and the Southern Alps.
Online and print advertising ran in the Netherlands to time with the release of the film. Tourism New Zealand also hosted a number of trade and media representatives for the premier.
A page with information specifically for Dutch travellers has been created on www.newzealand.com for the first time. Online advertising linking through to this page saw user sessions from the Netherlands increase 400 per cent in October/November.
Media
Tourism New Zealand recently hosted two Dutch media as part of the International Media Programme.
