Visitor Arrivals

Visitor arrivals from the UK follow a very seasonal trend - December, January and February are the peak months, with no less than 40,000 arrivals in each of these months. Note that the spike in June 2005 was caused by the Lions Rugby Tour. On a year-on-year basis visitor arrivals have been decreasing over the past three years (2005 - 2007). Total arrivals in 2007 were 292,717, down slightly (0.7%) from one year ago.
