We do this by developing and implementing strategies to market New Zealand as a tourism destination internationally. Our purpose is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. Through marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies, we work co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.
What will you be doing?
This is a newly created role responsible for managing global projects and partnerships to generate earned media coverage. You will be a hustler with an appetite for not only creating partnership opportunities but also driving creative campaign solutions. You will seek out projects and partnerships but also work on briefs from our offshore teams around the world. This could range from large scale media partnerships, high impact broadcasts, key influencers, key opinion leaders and leveraging major events and film. You will have a strong background in marketing communication, event and project management, relationship and stakeholder management and ideally you can write, present and speak like a pro!
What we need from you
We need someone with a tertiary qualification in PR communications or another relevant discipline, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a PR communications role, preferably in an international environment where you have been responsible for strategy and the delivery of complex multidisciplinary and integrated large-scale projects and experience managing key partnerships. You will be able to think strategically but also have a hands-on approach and a solid understanding of media and experience working with broadcast media.
