The role is based in our Guangzhou office. The role of our Trade Development Executive is to support the Trade Development Manager with the implementation of our trade marketing strategy for Southern China and Hong Kong and support our Greater China Trade Team. We do this by developing partnerships, training, hosting events and product development initiatives to ensure that the travel industry understands the motivations and product requirements of the target audience. It’s your role to ensure that travel trade partners maximise their returns and at the same time benefiting the New Zealand brand.
Key account management is central to the role, as you will be required to build relationships with the biggest travel trade companies in South China and Hong Kong. This includes participating in the planning and management and hosting of familiarisations, and attendance at trade shows and events.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a tertiary education in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a Business related discipline and some work experience in the travel or tourism industry. You will have project co-ordination and/or event management and stakeholder management skills. You will also possess superb written and verbal communication skills, and be fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Candidates must have the right to work in China.
A passion for New Zealand is essential in this role, as is a strong desire to support and grow our brand across Southern China and Hong Kong.
