Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is pleased to invite New Zealand tourism operators, existing International Marketing Alliances (IMAs) or other Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) clusters/alliances and, where appropriate, individual RTOs to participate in the Brazil and Argentina Roadshow 2019.
Following the recent trade events review that many of you will have been a part of, we will be trialling some new initiatives at this event. This includes hosting a roadshow across four cities in Brazil and Argentina aimed at showcasing a wider breath of tourism products and regions to a broader range of travel sellers.
Tourism New Zealand will heavily subsidise the event participation fees for approved attendees at this roadshow to enable more new sellers and regions (that meet the needs of the Brazil and Argentina markets) to attend. This is reflective of feedback that Tourism New Zealand has received from key travel sellers in Brazil and Argentina. These travel sellers need to broaden their offering to satisfy the needs and types of travel that their clients are looking for and, as such, connect with new sellers and regions, whilst continuing to build relationships with those already active in their market. Having a wider breath of tourism products and regions at the event will be beneficial for all New Zealand sellers as it will attract higher quality and more experienced travel sellers to the roadshow and maintain high levels of trade engagement from key travel sellers from these markets.
The Brazil and Argentina Roadshow 2019 will provide a unique opportunity for members of the New Zealand tourism industry to educate and establish business relationships with key travel sellers from Brazil and Argentina. The Roadshow includes pre-scheduled meetings with product managers and networking opportunities with frontline travel agents at official event functions.
The Roadshow will take place from 9 to 17 September 2019 and will start in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo & Porto Alegre in Brazil and end in Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Should you have any questions on this event, please contact Carrie Talbot (Carrie.Talbot@tnz.govt.nz). Our Tourism New Zealand South America team will also be attending TRENZ 2019 and are more than happy to talk through the event with any tourism operators and regions in attendance. Please come and see Carrie Talbot at the Tourism New Zealand stand (3001) to set up a time to meet with the team.
