Taking place annually, ITB Berlin, with 10,000+ exhibitors and 160K total visitors of which 109K are trade visitors on 160K square metres, is the world’s biggest tourism fair. The fair consists of three days that are open to trade and media visitors only as well as two days over the weekend that are mainly attracting consumers.
Tourism New Zealand will exhibit on a 70 square metre space, located conveniently right next to Tourism Australia, and offers New Zealand operators a variety of options to be part of the stand.
Due to the nature of ITB and the fact that no appointment scheduling is offered, we recommend this event only to IBOs and operators that have representation or a strong network in Germany and wider Europe. For all other product operators that may be interested in connecting with key European product Managers, we recommend applying to the European Product Workshop (Kiwi Link UK/Europe 2018) that is scheduled to take in place London just two weeks after ITB.
On the day before ITB, together with Tourism Australia, TNZ offers a training day to key frontline agents from the Berlin area as well as those that happen to be in Berlin for ITB. TNZ invites up to 70 agents that will be split into groups for a table top format. All operators with New Zealand as well as New Zealand & Australian product will have their round table in the first half of the day, whereas Australian product will participate in the afternoon. The participation of this event is open to all stand partners, except ITOs and is free of charge.
Straight on the back of ITB, PATA Exchange is taking place in London on 12 March which connects New Zealand operators with Product Managers from the UK. More information can be found at the PATA website and registrations are to be made directly with PATA.
