Tourism New Zealand has unveiled a campaign to increase visitor arrivals from European working holiday makers living in Australia by tugging on homesick heartstrings.

Tourism New Zealand has unveiled a campaign to increase visitor arrivals from European working holiday makers living in Australia by tugging on homesick heartstrings.

Partnering with Webjet, Tourism New Zealand aims to position the country as a holiday destination among this audience, says TNZ General Manager International Angela Blair.

“This is an audience of travelsavvy Australian-based people who are likely to visit New Zealand either during or after their working holiday in Australia, says Angela.

The campaign, running in March, supports TNZ’s objectives to drive international visitor arrivals by focusing on driving leisure arrivals into key New Zealand gateway destinations across both North and South Islands.

“Come for a slice of home, stay for the adventure in New Zealand,” features influencer content and leverages platforms such as TikTok and Meta to capture the attention of travellers.

The campaign includes deals departing from Australian destinations with a focus on the eastern seaboard (NSW, Victoria, Queensland) for travel to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
