Launched in partnership with Air New Zealand and five Regional Tourism Organisations, 'Discover New Zealand' allows travel agents to fly to New Zealand to experience a short break in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Christchurch or Queenstown.
Through the initiative agents are entitled to 50 per cent off flights, two nights free accommodation as well as discounts on attractions and activities while they are here. The exclusive offer is for travel between 19 October and 26 November 2012.
The campaign, which is the first of its kind, is part of TNZ's activity to get agents to travel to New Zealand, so that once they are here they can discover at their own pace with customised itineraries using the TNZ Explore New Zealand self-famil programme.
TNZ's General Manager Australia Tim Burgess says the offer, a new concept designed specifically for Australian travel agents, is a great opportunity.
"We want to give agents every reason to come over and experience the destination outside the more formal structure of a famil programme. We think that the opportunity to bring a travel partner and design their own tailored itinerary will really appeal.
"By getting travel agents to come over and experience New Zealand for themselves we are confident that they will then be able to sell the destination with greater confidence and frequency once they return home," says Tim.
All participating agents will also go in the draw to win one of five, two nights and three days, all inclusive return packages to New Zealand to discover another region.
