Conference venues invited to showcase to thousands

A new tool developed for the Tourism New Zealand Business Events website is promoting the diverse range of world class conference venues available across the country to thousands of international business event organisers.

Venues are invited to create a listing on that will include information, images and video content and link to a venue’s website.

“The Tourism New Zealand business events website received a record number of visits last year and this is expected to grow. With nearly 300,000 views a year it’s an extremely valuable place for venues to be seen,” says Business Events and Premium Manager Lisa Gardiner.

“We worked with industry to develop the tool to make sure it hit the mark, so far we have had a really good response with over 60 new listings.”

The tool’s search function allows people looking for a suitable venue to filter by capacity, amenities and location making it easy for them to look at options.”

“It’s a great enhancement to our online presence, creating valuable tool that event organisers will find really useful."

“Over the next few months we will be running a number of international campaigns to attract international business events to our shores and these will encourage event organisers to the venue search tool.”

Any venue with capacity over 200+ are encouraged to create a listing, its quick and easy to do and will be a great source of information for international event organisers.
