Held in Sydney 10-12 September, Luxperience was the first event of its kind for the luxury experiential travel sector in Australasia and the Pacific.
Offering a global business-to-business sales and marketing platform, the event received strong support from New Zealand luxury travel operators, with 21 attending.
On the closing night of the event Tourism New Zealand hosted an evening networking function for New Zealand exhibitors, buyers and key media. The function showcased some of our finest wines, Kiwi inspired cuisine and a Kapa Haka performance.
"The function was a great success, offering the industry an exclusive networking opportunity with the high turn-out showing the demand for luxury travel to New Zealand," says Tim Burgess, General Manager Australia.
Over the three-day event exhibitors met with global buyers in a series of one-on-one appointments enabling them to showcase their products and exchange insights with influential travel sellers.
"Luxperience provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase a range of New Zealand's luxury tourism product to the right buyers.
"There is the potential for significant growth from the luxury travel sector and getting these buyers down-under is a major bonus for New Zealand," says Tim.
Next year's Luxperience will once again be hosted in Sydney from 2-4 September and New Zealand is the proposed destination for 2014.
