Tourism New Zealand has released its annual Approved Destination Status (ADS) market update. The update was presented at both Auckland and Christchurch.
Over 100,000 Chinese visit New Zealand each year on a group tour using a special ADS visa. To help maintain high standards for these visitors this market is governed by a Code of Conduct managed by Tourism New Zealand’s China Market Development Unit.
The update provides detail about the changing nature of the Chinese market, challenges and opportunities that are arising, and an update for ADS tours and programmes.
