Magical journeys to Middle-earth tempt UK’s luxury travellers

A significant new trade campaign in the UK is tempting luxury travellers to explore 100% Middle-earth, 100% Pure New Zealand with Wexas Travel and Air New Zealand.

UK-based Wexas Travel offers tailor-made travel experiences and is endorsed by such adventurers as Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Michael Palin.

They have teamed up with Air New Zealand - airline to Middle-earth - and Tourism New Zealand to promote five magical Middle-earth journeys, to Wexas' exclusive database of luxury travellers.

The five itineraries, ranging from 14-21 days duration, promote New Zealand luxury lodges, wine and food, outdoors, history and culture, and leverage off the attention New Zealand has received by providing the backdrop to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Tourism New Zealand's Regional Manager UK and Europe, Danielle Genty-Nott says the new campaign will target a high-value clientele seeking something out of the ordinary.

"These itineraries are designed specifically to showcase some of the finest product and experiences on offer in New Zealand.

"Working in this way alongside Wexas Travel puts destination New Zealand in front of a unique client base that have the resources to really make the most of their holiday here.

"Anyone who is motivated to travel to New Zealand because of what they have seen on the movie screen, can get the ultimate Middle-earth escape mapped out and booked thanks to these five itineraries."
