The activity kicked off in Germany in early September with an online advertising campaign. It uses imagery in-line with the 100% Pure New Zealand campaign that tells the story of what a holiday to New Zealand during the summer season could be like.
Tourism New Zealand's General Manager Western Long Haul Markets Gregg Anderson said the joint venture with Qantas allows Tourism New Zealand to promote a more attractive proposition to the market.
"Using the 100% Pure New Zealand campaign to tell the story of what a New Zealand holiday could look like, the activity focuses on encouraging German-based visitors to make the best use of Qantas' competitive deal."
The campaign which includes online banners directs traffic to newzealand.com and qantas.com.au.
In line with the German market's interest in the outdoors and New Zealand's natural environment, newzealand.com provides more information on what a summer holiday in New Zealand could include such as exploring the National Parks, experiencing kayaking and rafting or a boat or sailing trip.
For those interested in booking, Qantas' website is promoting a return economy class fare of EUR€1208 for travel during the period of 1 February to 31 March 2013. A second trade partner, Boomerang Reisen, has also been brought on board to offer package holidays that incorporate the Qantas flights.
