That's a wrap: Tourism New Zealand Roadshow

Visitor economy growth and the opportunities that lie within this for tourism and other sectors was a key focus of the Tourism New Zealand Roadshow events held in Waitangi, Wellington, Christchurch and Invercargill this month.

More than 400 people registered to attend the events, which included a mix of tourism industry representatives and those from supporting sectors with an interest in the benefits a growing visitor economy can bring.

Tourism New Zealand was joined by regional tourism organisations Northland Inc, Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA), ChristchurchNZ and Venture Southland. Guest presenters also included business technology experts, MYOB NZ to discuss the evolution of tourism into a technology sector, and the new Provincial Development Unit to talk about opportunities for tourism in the Provincial Growth Fund.

Thank you to everyone who attended these events. We look forward to hitting the road again in November 2018 to visit Auckland, Taupo, West Coast and Queenstown – more information coming soon!
