Tourism New Zealand is attending the event with Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) and 15 New Zealand industry partners who will each conduct 36 pre-scheduled appointments with buyers.
“AIME is the largest business events trade show in the Southern Hemisphere. It attracts around 3000 business event decision makers, predominantly from Australia—an important source market for business events to New Zealand,” says Lisa Gardiner, Tourism New Zealand’s Manager of Business Events and Premium.
“It is an opportunity to educate the Australian market on the new conference infrastructure development in New Zealand and our Conference Assistance Programme to drive future business opportunities.”
Tourism New Zealand hosted the exclusive buyer breakfast at the event where a comprehensive guide for association professionals titled The Art of Excelling at Association Events was launched.
The 32-page guide is packed full of research as well as advice from thought leaders to help association professionals create events that will engage, educate, and provide networking opportunities for members.
“Following the success of our incentive guide, The Art of Employee Happiness, launched last year, we wanted to create something similar to benefit those involved in planning and organising association events.
“The Art of Excelling at Association Events contains detailed information that even the most experienced association professional will find useful.
“It also includes case studies that show how real organisations are creating successful and engaging events by thinking outside the box,” says Lisa.
