Tourism New Zealand campaign picks up bronze at top Aussie awards

Tourism New Zealand's Te Araroa - The Long Pathway campaign has landed a bronze award for Best use of media/print at the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) awards in Sydney last week.

The annual award event, now in its 34th year, celebrates the most outstanding creative communications work in the Asia Pacific region.

The campaign was entered into the industry awards by Tourism New Zealand's advertising agency TBWA Whybin.

The Te Araroa - The Long Pathway campaign was launched in June last year to capitalise on the high interest Australian consumers have for an overseas walking holiday, and leverage the opening of the series of walking tracks that link together across the length of the country as 'Te Araroa - The Long Pathway'.

Tourism New Zealand's General Manager Australia, Tim Burgess says; "the award is a great success and recognises the work that goes into developing campaigns and implementing them across a range of media and print channels to effectively reach and influence our target market."
