General Manager Asia David Craig says while Nick will be sorely missed, he is leaving on an high having made a significant impact in the markets.
“Both the Japanese and Korean markets are buoyant, visitor arrivals growing +14 and +13% respectively. The mood in Japan surrounding New Zealand as a holiday destination has been transformed from the difficult days that followed the 2011 earthquake.
“Nick also played a key role in supporting the teams in South and South East Asia for a six month period last year.”
He leaves after four years with the organisation and will enjoy some well-earned leave before seeking his next big challenge.
