Tourism New Zealand named Leading Tourist Board for the sixth time

Tourism New Zealand has again been voted Australasia's Leading Tourist Board in the 2015 World Travel Awards by the travel industry in the region. It is the sixth time TNZ has picked up the prestigious award.

Tourism New Zealand’s Chief Executive, Kevin Bowler, said it was fantastic achievement to pick up the leading tourist board award for the sixth time. ”This is confirmation yet again of the excellent work we are doing. It is a great acknowledgment to be recognized by the international tourism community for our work in marketing New Zealand. It is also further recognition of the success of our 100% Pure New Zealand campaign, our international media programme and the work we do with our travel partners.”

The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the world's travel and tourism industry. The awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide.

The awards for the Asia and Australasia region were announced at a ceremony in Hong Kong. All regional winners will compete for the World Travel Awards' global awards to be announced at a gala ceremony, 12 December in Morocco.
