India, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil and Argentina are markets with huge potential for New Zealand’s tourism industry. In a year of limited growth, we’ve continues to see a significant increase in visitor arrivals from each of these markets.
Tourism New Zealand’s Industry Insights Specialist, Bryce Kelliher explained that while emerging markets make up just 4 percent of total holiday arrivals, exceptional growth over the past few years suggests they’re going to become even more important to our visitor economy.
Tourism New Zealand’s Country Manager - Brazil, Karem Basulto says Argentina and Brazil are prime examples of this, with LATAM Airlines and Air New Zealand reporting high occupancy on their flights from the South American markets over the coming months.
“The insights highlight the importance of communicating the range of unique experiences in New Zealand, as well as ease of travel and friendly people,” said Mr Kelliher.
